From the 12th of May 2026, the embassy of France in Ireland will open a new appointment platform for visa applicants. This is a significant update for foreign citizens living in Ireland and applying for short or long stay visas for France.
This new system will be deployed by the company TLScontact, completely replacing VFS Global. In addition to managing the appointment booking system, TLScontact will also open a dedicated phoneline to provide help and advice directly to applicants.

What is Changing?

All the actual appointments will still take place at the embassy of France in Dublin, which continues to hold the sole authority to decide on the issuance of the visa.
